Yin classes at the Bridge Space are relaxing and meditative- you will leave feeling rejuvenated. Poses are mostly floor based (gentle stretching) and held for 3-5 minutes at a time, depending on how your body is feeling in each given moment. The practice is tailored to the individual. so every body will look different in each pose and you will be comfortably supported with props such as blocks, bolsters and blankets. You will only ever work at about 60% of your capacity: in this practice, less is more. By practicing Yin Yoga you will increase your flexibility, release tension, improve circulation and improve damaged connective muscle tissue. You do not need to be flexible or to have done yoga before to practice yin yoga.
